"Love & Politics" was many fun-filled hours performing all instruments and vocals with beautiful harmonies from local Colorado Springs vocalist Judi Scott. All of the drums, percussion, woodwind, brass horns and various noises are performed live on a Yamaha PSR 550. Complete engineering, recording and studio mixing were performed by Tommy on a Tascam 788 digital porta studio in the convenience of his home.
Mastered by Bill Douglass
All songs written by Tommy Gallagher except "What's It Gonna Be," which was co-written with Rusty Baker & Judi Scott.

Liner Notes
Song notes:
  1. Casual Stares Just a tale of two lovers finding each other again, a familiar Soul. Knowing an inner presence with another being. A waltz with a Spanish flare.
  2. Political Sin Within the first 6 months of his tenure, our fearless leader decided we didn’t want to be involved anymore in the Kyoto treaty (global warming). No action is needed because the "theory" of global warming caused by the burning of fossil fuels, is an unsupported assumption. Continued research is necessary. (Let's Drill) We also didn’t send a delegation for The World Conference against Racism, Racial biscrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, taking place from 31st of August to the 7th of September 2001 in South Africa. Jr also did not discuss "with congress" or the "American people" concerning the 1972 ABM Treaty we signed with the Soviets, declaring it was old outdated and useless. There is a greater risk / threat to harm the American people with a ballistic missile from rogue countries.
  3. She’s gonna take care of you This song is about Mother Nature, She Rules. We all have balance and when we are in sync, we’re a Loving, healthy and positive being. When we are sick and full of disease, many problems occur. When our Planet is out of balance from Global warming and other human caused pollution / abuse, disease and disaster follows: floods, tornados, droughts, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, melting polar caps just to name a few of her tricks/
  4. What’s it gonna be Co-Written with Rusty Baker & Judi Scott
We have grown so much with technology as my eyes view the United States, from putting a man on the Moon, to the Internet, to TV on cell phones and many more incredible advances for a wealthy man. But we still have homelessness, hate-crimes, poverty, hunger, disease in all major cities here, on our soil? Corporate scandals, greed-robbing pension plans, Social Security being manipulated, Unemployment and lack of health insurance at all time highs, for all people "young and old."
  5. You can be anything This started out as a fun rhythm, which led into just a fun happy toon about imagination in all of us, young and old, dreaming, exploring ond being silly. Bugs Bunny was always a favorite of mine, still is. Can you imagine?
  6. Faster Faster I wrote this sfter another school shooting I was just so tired of the media making a circus and giving attention to an individual for such a negative incident. Hour after hour repeating the same story with the same crisis theme. What about the victims? Lives that will never be the same?
  7. The Thing to do Just another love song inspired by the moment. This is more my "Pop-ish” side, I wonted to write something upbeat and danceable.
  8. Crazy I’m making fun of this tune as a Love song here, has a 50’s feel to it. This is just joking around with some words/chords and being a goof ball trying to write a love song that Frank Zappa would have liked. Frank didn’t like love songs at all, but still is a musical genius.
  9. The System This is something I wrote in 1980. How prophetic of our current times For a white boy I was thinking of reggae virtuoso Bob Marley, trying to get some feel, rhythm. Bob had a lot to say for such the short time he was with us. Movement of the people. 1-Planet 1-People 1-Love
